The first time I won a gold medal at the inter-state level for 100 meters, I was so proud of myself and my alma mater because it really pushed me to achieve my dream. I have received rigorous training and mentoring from an early age when my sports teacher from the primary section noticed me running faster than the other children of my age when we used to play on the ground. He took time out from his busy schedule and convinced my parents to allow him to work on my skills. 

 

And today, I am a successful athlete representing my school in the under 15 category across the country. There are however, many talented students in schools across the country who are not fortunate to have teachers encouraging them to be sportspersons. There are schools that do not have funds for sports. So what I want to do is set up talent hunt cells in schools and support budding players with inherent talent. I am going to start the cell with some of the money that I have received for my achievements. But we all need to come together to make this possible. I have decided to start a fundraiser for the talent hunt cell to be operational in full swing.

 

The money that you donate to this will help us in making budding athletes achieve their full potential. It will help us in building better infrastructures like gyms and training institutes and ultimately allow us to nurture talent that does our country proud not only at the national but also at the international level.
