Subject: Exemption from Games period
Dear Principal Madam,
I am writing to apply for a month’s exemption from the games period as I have suffered a hairline fracture yesterday while playing basketball.
I have enclosed the orthopaedic doctor’s recommendations and guidelines for the next few weeks. One of the suggestions is to avoid physical activity so that the ankle heals sooner. I want to recover well in time for the national basketball tournament, which in in three months.
I hope you consider my situation and sanction the exemption.
