Write the observations and balanced equations for the following reactions.   1.Sodium Hydroxide is added dropwise till in excess to a solutions of zinc sulphate. 2.Ammoium hydroxide is added first in small quantity and then in excess to the solution of copper sulphate.

ZnSO4  + 2NaOH  →   Zn(OH)2         + Na2SO4

                                     (White,          (Colourless)

                                    gelatinous ppt.) 

 

Soluble

Zn(OH)2 + 2NaOH(excess)  →  

                                                 Na2ZnO2  + 2H2O

(Colourless)
