Steps involved in natural hybridisation:
(1) Two parents are selected, of which one parent has the desired characters.
(2) Anthers are removed from the female parent by the process of emasculation.
(3) Pollen grains are collected from the male parent and placed on the stigma of the female parent and flowers are enclosed in bags to prevent cross-pollination.
(4) After pollination, fertilization takes place and seeds are produced.
