The given reaction is nuclear fusion reaction; so energy will be released the reaction
Mass of nuclei before fusion
Mi = m
= 2.014102 + 3.016049
= 5.030151 u
Mass of nuclei after fusion
Mf = m
= 4.002603 + 1.008665
= 5.011268 u
Mass defect (Δm) =m1- mf
= 5.030151 - 5.011268 = 0.018863
Energy released, Q = 0.018863 x 931 MeV
=17.56 MeV
