Why W2(Work done at 2) is negative in Bernoulli's theorem?

Expert Answer
work done by the system= negative and work done on the system=positive.
as the water is pushed through one end of the pipe, so the work is done on it.
from the other end as the water is coming out as a result of push from the other end,so work is done by the system there.
