why the stars are not being seen in the dark black background in the photograph of MARS taken by the camera of MANGALYAN from a distance of 74000 km from MARS ,which has posted by ISRO ?

Expert Answer
We are able to see stars in the night sky but not in the day time due to the presence of sunlight in the day time. Similarly, the images taken in space are extremely bright due to the direct sunlight. Also, the reason that stars are not visible in the dark black ground in photographs is because stars are very dim due to which the camera cannot gather enough of their light in a shorter exposure.
