Why melting point of orthodichlorobenzene is more than that of metadicholorbenzene?

Generally, the melting point of para isomer is quite higher than that of ortho isomer and meta isomer have the lowest melting point.
This due to the fact that it has a symmetrical structure and therefore, its molecules can easily pack closely in the crystal lattice.
As a result, intermolecular forces of attraction are stronger and therefore greater energy is required to break its melts at a higher temperature.
As the order of decrease in the symmetry is like para> ortho > meta
hence the order of melting point is
Simply Para > Ortho > Meta
