CBSE Class 10 Answered
Why is the humus content of laterite soil low?
Asked by Topperlearning User | 26 Jun, 2014, 05:01: PM
Expert Answer
The humus content of laterite soil is low because this soil is found in the regions of high temperature and heavy rainfall. Due to high temperature, the decomposers or bacteria in the soil get destroyed and hence the humus content is less.
