why is the electric potential constant when electric field is zero> explain me in detail plss

Electric field is denoted by equation,
 
-dV/dx is rate of change of voltage (electric potential) with respect to displacement.
If the voltage is constant throughout the particular region then change in the voltage will be constant.
Thus, the derivative with respect to the constant will be zero which implies electric field will be zero for that particular region where electric potential is constant.
