Why is reproduction considered as an important life process?
All living organisms stay alive for a limited period of time and then, finally grow old and die. New individuals need to be produced in place of the organisms that have died. Reproduction is the process by which living organisms produce new individuals of their own kind. These individuals take the place of their parents in due course of time. Reproduction, thus, enables to maintain a particular species on the Earth. In this way, the continuity of every living species is maintained.
That is why, reproduction is considered as an important life process.
