why is mist a heterogenous mixture and a mixture of alcohol in water a homogenous mixture
 please give some examples of homogenous and heterogenous mixture

Mist contains tiny droplets of water, which acts as particles of colloid dispersed in air. Hence, mist is heterogenous.
Mixture of alcohol in water is homogenous because, both the liquids are polar, so get mixed completely to form uniform solution. Hence, mixture of alcohol in water is homogenous mixture.
