Why is filter circuit required after a full wave/Half wave rectification of Alternating current?and How the A.C characteristic persists after a rectification?

Expert Answer
A filter basically works by absorbing the fluctuations and ripples in the regulated current after the rectification.
AC characteristics are persisted in the rectified current as there is no such thing as perferc regulation.
It can be easily seen from the working of a full wave rectifier. It merely resists the potentil from getting negative but it does nt make it dc as it is still not constant with time and hence a filter is needed after rectifier
