Leaching is a process in which the nutrients of the soil percolate down the soil due to heavy rainfall.
Laterite soil is formed in areas of heavy rainfall where the essential nutrients of the soil percolate down the soil.
Secondly, the laterite soil is the residual soil formed by leaching due to tropical rains.
