CBSE Class 12-science Answered
Why do the electric field lines never cross each other
Asked by brarkhush363 | 08 Apr, 2019, 06:52: PM
Expert Answer
Electric field lines are representation of electric field. Each line represents the specific magnitude of electric field as well its direction, so if two electric field lines are intersecting ea h other then we will have two different electric field at same point. Having two different electric field at same point contardict whole idea of electric field lines. We can't be able to observe force and its direction on any test charge at that point,. A single charge can produce only one force at any particular point.
