Answered by Expert
Answer:
Estrogen (that are produced in the ovaries) stimulates the development and maintenance of the female reproductive system along with the development of secondary sexual characteristics. During puberty, increased estrogen secretion brings changes such as breast development, pubic and underarm hair growth and menstrual periods.
Estrogen also plays a role in blood clotting, maintaining the strength and thickness of the vaginal wall and the urethral lining.
