Expert Answer
The participation of Italy in the Second World War was characterised by a complex framework of ideology, politics, and diplomacy. Rome-Berlin Axis was already formed in 1936 between Italy and Germany. Further, Italy was ruled by Mussolini and Germany by Hitler. The ideologies of both leaders were similar. They glorified wars and wanted to make their country powerful.
