The Bermuda Triangle is a section of the North Atlantic Ocean off North America. Its been into limelight because more than 50 ships and 20 airplanes have said to be disappeared in this area.
It is contended by many researchers that the region has a high electro magnetic force. Many travelers have complained about not being able to rely on their compass when they pass through some parts of the triangle. However, this fact is not approved by many scientists. In fact, the US Navy has a web page debunking this idea: "It has been inaccurately claimed that the Bermuda Triangle is one of the two places on earth at which a magnetic compass points towards true north. Normally a compass will point toward magnetic north. The difference between the two is known as compass variation. Although in the past this compass variation did affect the Bermuda Triangle region, this has apparently not been the case since the nineteenth century." No concrete proofs have been provided by the people who argue that the Bermuda Triangle has high electromagnetic force. It’s been contended that more ships have dissapeared in other parts of the world.
It has been asserted that the Bermuda Triangle does not have any unusual properties. The US Navy says that any ship wrecks or crashes in the area had ordinary causes like bad weather, human error, equipment problem etc.
