Hi Surabhi,

Kinetic energy is the energy of motion. As the temperature of a gas begins to increase, the motion of molecules becomes faster, which causes an increase in kinetic energy. Hence, Molecules with a high temperature have a greater kinetic energy than molecules with a low temperature.
