Nomads are the people who move from one place to another in search of fodder for their cattle. They also sell wool, hide, leather, milk and milk products. Nomads travel through certain known routes.
Banjaras are also nomadic herders who reside prominently in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. They move in search of good pasturelands for their cattle. While moving through long distances, they sell products like wool, leather, hides etc. in exchange for grain and fodder.
