answered-by-expert Expert Answer

The Cripps Mission offered dominion status to the country like that of Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but also gave provinces the right to secede from the Union. This right was given in order to make concession to the League’s demand for partition. This fared against the unity of the Indian nation.
