answered-by-expert Expert Answer
Rice cultivation in India is carried out according to the prevailing climatic conditions in a region and soil. For example, in India, the dry system of rice cultivation is practised in areas which are dependent on rainfall and do not have supplementary irrigation facilities. On the contrary, the wet method of rice cultivation is practised in regions which have the adequate supply of water.
Similarly, in India, the methods of sowing seeds also differ. Seeds are scattered through broadcasting method in those areas where soil is infertile and labour is not abundantly available while transplanting method is common in deltaic regions and floodplains.
