Where does the sound disappear after we say it once. Means like if I am talking to you face to face , when I say something where does the spelt word goes after you here.  Plz tell it fast

when longitudinal sound wave travels through air , its amplitude is attenuated over a distance.
After long distance of travelling and if it is not facing any obstacle, then its amplitude will become zero.
Hence sound wave disappears, after travelling a long distance.
