When a monochromatic light travels from one medium to another medium its frequency remains unchanged as it is an inherent characteristic.

We know that v = f λ , where v is the speed at which light travels , f the frequency and λ wavelength. When medium is changed the wavelength changes ,but the source emitting light remains the same and hence the frequency remains same and to compensate for the changing wavelength the speed will also change.

Thus we can say that when a monochromatic light travels from one medium to another its frequency remains same but the wavelength changes.
