A body is said to be in uniform motion if it travels equal distances in equal intervals of time, no matter how small the time intervals may be. For example, if a vehicle running at a constant speed of 15 m/s covers equal distances of 15 m, every second, then its motion is said to be uniform motion.
The shape of the path covered by a moving object having uniform speed and uniform velocity will be a straight line. This is because a body has uniform velocity only if it travels in a straight line and moves over equal distances in equal interval of time, no matter how small the time intervals may be.
