when an effort of 50N is applied on a pair of pilers it can overcome aload of 250N. It is given that the distance between fulcrum and load is 6cm. Find the length of the pilers .

Effort = 50 N 
load  = 250 N 
load arm = 6 cm 
effort arm =?
 we know, 
effort x effort arm = load x load arm 
50 x EA = 250 x 6
EA = (250 x 6)/50 = 30 cm 
 
Thus length of pliers = EA +LA = 30 +6 = 36 cm
