when a bottle full of hot water then we pure cold water what hwppen and why

If we pour cold water into a bottle containing hot water, we will obtain two layers of water; the hot layer and cold layer of water. The hot layer would be less dense water and will be on the top of the colder or more dense water.
However, this situation would stay long as the hot water will cool, and the cold water will heat up, and convection currents will mix the whole mixture into a relatively uniform temperature quickly.
