what will happen to the moment of inertia of earth and time duration of day on earth if polar ice on earth melts. please elaborate the answer

The Earth rotates about its polar axis. When the polar ice on earth melts, the concentrated mass at the axis of rotation spreads out. hence, moment of inertia I increases.
As there will not be any torque act.
