CBSE Class 12-science Answered

What will happen if emitter as well as collector in a transistor are forward biased?
Asked by tripathi.durba | 23 Feb, 2016, 11:10: PM
answered-by-expert Expert Answer
If both emitter and collector junctions are forward biased, then the majority charge carriers of the emitter will flow in emitter-base circuit and those of the collector will flow in the collector-base circuit. The transistor will not work like a transistor but then it will be equivalent to two pn junction diodes with a common base.
