(i) There are 13 negative integers and 2 positive integers

i.e. 13 minus signs and 2 plus signs

We know that,

when the minus sign appears odd number of times in a product the final product is negative.

Hence, when we multiply 13 negative integers and 2 positive integers the sign of the product will be negative.

(ii) There are 16 negative integers and 3 positive integers

i.e 16 minus signs and 3 plus signs

We know that,

when the minus sign appears even number of times in a product the final product is positive.

Hence, when we multiply 16 negative integers and 3 positive integers the sign of the product will be positive.
