The reaction between hydrogen bromide gas, HBr

(g), and oxygen gas, O2(g), is known to(g) + O2(g)   ---------->  HOOBr(g) SLOW(g) + HOOBr(g)   --------> 2HOBr(g) FAST(g) + HOBr(g) ----------->  H2O(g) + Br2(g) FAST
