What was the nature of Aurangzeb’s Rajput policy in the early years of his reign?

During the early years of his reign, Aurangzeb followed Akbar’s policy of friendship with the Rajputs. He tried to win the support of the Rajas of Mewar and Marwar by granting them high mansabs. This policy however changed during the later period.
