The Students were at the forefront of the Swadeshi and Boycott movement. They practiced these ideals and propagated Swadeshi to as many people as possible. They also took the lead in organising picketing of shops selling foreign manufactured or financed products. The involvement of the students was so intense and impactful that the government felt compelled to issue orders prohibiting students from participating in the movement.
