Aftermath of the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War:

  1. The British took 32 years and four wars to crush the power of Mysore.
  2. Half portion of Tipu’s kingdom was annexed and divided between the British and their ally, the Nizam.
  3. The rest was given to the original Raja of Mysore who became a subordinate ally.
  4. Tipu’s family was exiled to Vellore.
  5. The British made substantial financial, commercial, military, territorial and political gains.
  6. The Company’ territory extended from Malabar to the Coromandel Coast.
