- The British took 32 years and four wars to crush the power of Mysore.
- Half portion of Tipu’s kingdom was annexed and divided between the British and their ally, the Nizam.
- The rest was given to the original Raja of Mysore who became a subordinate ally.
- Tipu’s family was exiled to Vellore.
- The British made substantial financial, commercial, military, territorial and political gains.
- The Company’ territory extended from Malabar to the Coromandel Coast.
