Steps to maintain the harmony in ecosystems:
(1) Destruction of forests and uncontrolled cutting of trees reduces the amount of oxygen that is generated by plants. We need to plant more trees in order to increase the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere.
(2) Plants should not be destroyed as their destruction can cause a reduction in the number of producers of the ecosystem.
(3) Animals should not be hunted, poached or killed. This results in the destruction of primary and secondary consumers, thereby disturbing the balance in food chains.
(4) Apex carnivores should not be killed unnecessarily. This may cause their extinction and may also affect the population control of herbivores.
(5) Nature maintains its balance through food chains and food webs. So, we should not meddle with these interrelationships.
(6) Activities of man such as pollution, deforestation, over construction, exploitation of resources affect the natural balance of the ecosystem. These should be curbed immediately.
(7) It is our prime duty to maintain a balance and preserve biodiversity to enrich the biosphere and make planet Earth, a beautiful place to live in!!
