What sort of uprisings did the INA inspire
in the armed forces in India?

The INA inspired quite a few important uprisings in the armed forces in India. The Indian Naval ratings in Mumbai rose in revolt against the British government in the year 1946. This was followed by similar uprisings at Kolkata, Chennai and Karachi. These naval revolts effectively shook the foundations of the British Empire in India and made the British realise that continuing their colonial domination of India would be difficult henceforth.
