What should be the mass of a bullet if it's speed is 100 m/s and possesses a kinetic energy of 0.1kJ?

Expert Answer
Kinetic energy K = (1/2)×m×v2 .....................(1)
where m is mass of the bullet and v is speed of bullet.
hence from eqn.(1), we write m = 2K / v2 = (2×0.1×1000)/(100×100) = 0.02 kg = 20 gram
