What kind of material is used as connecting wires in circuits?give reasons

The current in the wire must remain unaffected. Thus, the wires made from copper or aluminium are used for electrical connections as the wire possess low resistance and their loss of energy while heating is prevented.
Also, Copper and aluminium have low specific resistance.
