Answer:
Boric acid B(OH)3 is a weak, monobasic and Lewis acid.
Its take away OH- group from the water leaving behind H+ ion, hence acts as a weak acid.
reaction occurs as 
B(OH)3 + H2O → B(OH)4-  + H
