'Such' is a grammatical determiner.
Most often, 'such' and 'so' have similar usage.
'so' is usually used with an adverb
example: That person is so beautiful.
'such' is used with a noun
example: She is such a beautiful person.
Also, the formation of the given sentence is a bit flawed.
'Such was his concentration that he got full marks'
can be corrected into
'His concentration was so strong that he got full marks'
This sentence can be corrected in many other ways.
