Thanks for asking us a question in Ask the Expert section of TopperLearning.com.
In case of multiple questions within a query, please post each question individually and let us know where you are getting stuck so that we would be able to explain things better.
Solution for your query:
1. PCl3 : as valency of chlorine is -1 so, the valency of phosphorus is +3.
x + 3(-1) = 0, so x = +3.
4. Fe2O3 : valency opf oxygen is -2,
2(x) + 3(-2) = 0
2x = +6
x = +3
Thus, the valency if Fe is +3.
9. NaHSO4 : Here, Na is cation with +1 charge, HSO4 is anion. Whole compound is having zero charge.
1 + x = 0, so x= -1
Thus, HSO4 has -1 charge.
Similarly work out for the other species to find out the valencies.
