what is the power and focal length of sunglasses?

Expert Answer
1) Ideally, a sunglass is meant to protect the eyes from harmful rays of the Sun. They are not meant for reading or long distance viewing. Hence, their power is zero. It basically means that sunglasses are not ordinary eye glasses having power.
2) Nowadays, glasses could be made of power and those can function as sunglasses as well. They are called polaroid glasses which serve both the purposes. These glasses will have power and focal length as desired by the person wearing them.
