Parallelogram Law of Addition: If  and are two vectors represented in magnitude and direction by the sides of a parallelogram, then their sum vector is represented in magnitude and direction by the diagonal of the parallelogram which is co-initial with the vectors.

 
 
Symbolically,  This is called parallelogram law of addition of vectors.
