What is the moment of inertia of a flywheel about an axis perpendicular to it and about it's diameter? In phy tb , pg 171 , it has been given that M.I of a flywheel about its axis = 1/2 MR^2 . About which axis ?
Is flywheel considered as a disc or a ring ? When it is asked to find the M.I about its axis , which MI should be found , about diameter or perpendicular to the plane ?
