Given is the mass of CO2 formed as 44 g.

Molar mass of CO2 is 44 g and glucose is 180 g

Now,

C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O

180 g                            6×44g

   x                                     44g

Now,

x/180    =   44/(6×44) 

x = 44×180/(6×44)    =    30

Therefore, the mass of glucose combusted = 30 g
