Expert Answer
The three ossicles present in the middle ear i.e. hammer, anvil and stirrup play an important role in the process of hearing. Ear drum sets the three ossicles into vibration. The vibration of hammer and anvil magnifies the vibration of the third ossicle- stir up so that it transmits the vibration further to the membrane of the oval window.
