what is the function of 1.live wire 2.neutral wire 3.earth wire?

The Live wire is connected directly to the generators of the electricity supply company. It is at a high potential of 220 Volts.
The Neutral wire returns the electricity to the generator after it has passed through the appliance, to complete the circuit. The Neutral wire is at approximately zero volts.
The Earth wire usually carries no electricity, it is there as a safety device.
