what is the energy chain when green plants prepare food and are finally consumed?

The solar energy/ light energy from the sun is used to prepare food in plants. These plants stores the energy in the form of compounds i.e. chemical energy. This energy is absorbed by the animals who consumes it and stores in their body in the form of compounds like fats i.e. chemical energy. This chemical energy is used by animals to do work i.e. mechanical energy.
