What is the direction of magnetic field in magnetic meridian ? Please explain with the help of diagram

The axis line for the geographical true north/south is called the geographical meridian and
the axis line joining the magnetic north/south is called the magnetic meridian.
The angle between them is called the magnetic declination. ..

Direction of earths magnetic field is along the magnetic meridian. We know that opposite poles attract each other.
 
Since north pole of magnetic compass point towards the geographic north,
it is asumed that south pole of earths magnet is near to geographic north pole and
