ICSE Class 9 Answered
What is the direction in which current flows

Expert Answer
There are two directions for current stated. The conventional direction and the electronic direction. Ideally the flow of current is due to the flow of electrons. But, conventionally it was regarded as the flow of positive charges. Hence, for all theoretical purposes the direction of flow of current is opposite to the direction of flow of electrons. Electrons flow from the negative terminal of a battery to the positive terminal. Hence, the direction of current is from positive terminal to the negative terminal.
